Bone SA’s own tissue bank, Vitanova, is a state-of-the-art Tissue Engineering Facility that opened its doors in 2021.
At Vitanova, we uphold the highest quality standards throughout every stage of tissue recovery, processing, and distribution. Each step is carefully managed to ensure safety & traceability, preserve the integrity of the grafts, and honour the gift of donation. Vitanova operates in line with stringent quality and safety requirements and is ISO 9001 certified.
We also take the confidentiality of donors and recipients very seriously. The integrity of personal information provided by donors and next of kin is protected in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 and all other relevant legislation.
